First God created light and then the universe to which humanity belongs.
Since all originated from this One Light, all are equals.

With these words, Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sikh faith, began his teaching. By extension, no one is Christian, Jewish, Buddhist or even Sikh. These divisions soon evaporate when we remember that first and foremost, we are all children of God.
